Terms of Use
Using this site
mpdata.uk is a free, publicly accessible resource. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
About the data
All data on mpdata.uk is sourced from official public sources — principally the UK Parliament API and the Electoral Commission. We present this data in good faith and update it regularly, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, error-free, or current at the moment you access it.
Parliamentary data changes frequently. Votes are recorded, interests are updated, and MPs' circumstances change. There will always be a lag between the official record and what appears here. Timestamps on the Data Sources page indicate when each dataset was last retrieved.
You should verify any data you intend to rely on — particularly for journalism, research, or legal purposes — against the primary sources at parliament.uk and electoralcommission.org.uk.
AI-generated content
Some content on this site — including MP profile summaries — is generated by an AI model. These summaries are constrained to data we hold and are not intended to be authoritative statements about any individual. They should be treated as interpretive aids, not factual records. See our Data Sources page for full details of how AI-generated content is produced and constrained.
Accuracy and corrections
We take data accuracy seriously. If you believe something on this site is incorrect, please contact us at info@mpdata.uk and we will investigate.
No editorial judgment
mpdata.uk does not endorse or criticise any MP, political party, or organisation. Statistical comparisons on this site are descriptive, not evaluative. We do not characterise any level of parliamentary activity as good, bad, or otherwise.
Linking and reuse
The underlying data is published as open data by Parliament and the Electoral Commission. You are welcome to link to any page on this site. If you reproduce data from this site for publication, we ask that you verify figures against primary sources and credit mpdata.uk where appropriate.
Liability
We provide this site as-is, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of data presented here, or for any inaccuracies in that data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised.

What data we collect and why
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, how users navigate the site, and broadly where traffic comes from. Google Analytics collects data including your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.
If you have not accepted cookies, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode — it does not store any information on your device. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics sets cookies to provide more accurate session tracking. In both cases, data is processed by Google. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Legal basis: legitimate interests (cookieless mode) / consent (full cookie mode).
Server logs
Our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard server log data including IP addresses and pages requested. These logs are retained for a limited period and used only for security and operational purposes.
Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Contact enquiries
If you contact us at info@mpdata.uk, we will retain your email address and the content of your message in order to respond to you. We do not add contact enquiries to any mailing list or share them with third parties.
Legal basis: legitimate interests.
What we do not collect

Third parties
We use the following third-party services, each of which processes data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — analytics (Google LLC, USA). Privacy policy
Each of these providers operates under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for data transfers outside the UK.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. Given the minimal data we collect, in most cases we will hold little or nothing identifiable to you. To make a request, contact us at info@mpdata.uk.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
